LunaPDF™ - End User License Agreement (EULA)
This is an unofficial translation provided for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy, the original Spanish version shall prevail.
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") constitutes a legal contract between you ("User") and William Luna Morales, operating under the trade name LunaPDF™ (hereinafter, "the Developer"), owner of LunaPDF ("the Application"). By installing, copying, or using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Application.
1. LICENSE GRANT
The Developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license —only in the event of breach of this Agreement or where permitted by applicable law— to install and use LunaPDF exclusively for your personal, professional, educational, or internal use, in accordance with this Agreement.
LunaPDF includes a set of optional additional features under the "LunaPDF Premium" tier, which are unlocked through a one-time payment made via the Microsoft Store. The purchase of LunaPDF Premium does not constitute a subscription and does not generate recurring charges; the availability, processing, billing, and refunds related to such purchase are governed by the terms and policies of the Microsoft Store. The license granted in this Agreement extends to such features once unlocked, under the same terms and restrictions established herein. The purchase of LunaPDF Premium does not transfer any ownership right over the Application.
2. OWNERSHIP
LunaPDF and the original elements developed by the Developer, including, among others, its source code, object code, user interface, graphic design, documentation, trademark, and logo, are the property of William Luna Morales, except for those third-party components, models, libraries, tools, or materials that are subject to their respective licenses, as indicated in Section 4.
The text recognition engine, document structure analysis, and Word file generation engine developed for the "Searchable PDF" and "Smart PDF to Word" features includes original C++ code developed by William Luna Morales. This code constitutes the Developer's own original work and is distinct from the third-party models, runtimes, libraries, and other components expressly identified in Section 4. The same engine is also used in the "PDF to Excel" feature and in the "Keep layout" option.
The code implementing the "Numbers to Words" feature was originally developed by William Luna Morales and does not incorporate any third-party components, libraries, or code identified for that feature.
During development, documentation, behaviors, techniques, and references from open-source projects may have been consulted. Consulting such references does not by itself imply the incorporation, copying, or redistribution of source code or binaries from those projects within LunaPDF. Third-party components actually included in the distribution are identified in Section 4 and remain subject to their respective licenses.
This Agreement does not transfer to you any ownership rights over LunaPDF or over the Developer's original elements. All rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by the Developer.
3. RESTRICTIONS
You agree that you may NOT:
a) Redistribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the Application or copies of it to third parties without prior written authorization from the Developer.
b) Decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Application, except to the extent such restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law in your jurisdiction.
c) Remove, hide, or alter any copyright notice, trademark, or other proprietary notice present in the Application.
d) Use the Application for illegal purposes or to process content that infringes third-party rights.
4. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
LunaPDF incorporates third-party open-source software components. Full notices and license texts for such components are available within the Application itself, in the "View Binary Component Licenses" section. This Agreement does not modify or replace the terms of those third-party licenses.
5. NO WARRANTY
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Application, including, without limitation, loss of data, files, profits, revenue, or business interruption.
7. TERMINATION
This Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated. The Developer may terminate it if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the Application and delete all copies in your possession. Termination shall not affect any rights the User may have acquired under applicable law. Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and other clauses that by their nature should survive will continue in effect after termination of this Agreement.
8. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
